> ARMOURDILLO by Codemasters

Played through by Vinny Mainolfi

Back in 1987 I was building my collection of Codemasters titles for the Commodore 64. There were a few great titles in there and a few duds. Armourdillo falls in the middle of those categories and it polished enough to be good, but a little lack lustre to be great.

With only 7 levels to play though, it doesn't take that long to get through the game...

Level 1

Level 2

Level 3

Level 4

Level 5

Level 6

Level 7

HOW WAS IT PLAYED?: I built a crazy hack version of the game and skipped through the levels.

  • Vinny: A simple set of levels; nothing to blow you away.
  • Andrew Fisher: I always felt the sprites let this down - the "blue" colours make them stand out too much, and the animation is very average. Only seven levels is poor, given how short they are.

FINAL SAY: For £1.99 it was okay... ish.

RATING: 6 / 10
