X-Terminator by Novagen is one of those games that
should have been far better than it actually was.
aim is to rescue your fellow soldiers, and battle your
way through the various levels, fighting off the aliens
and collecting tons of weaponry as you go. There's
approx 16 levels to beat, all with different aliens to
kill and puzzles to solve. The potential for
X-Terminator to be a decent game is huge. It just fails
in so many ways it's untrue. The concept is decent, but
it isn't executed very well. The control method and
animation are a bit clumsy and lifeless.
graphics aren't very good - they have a rough,
unfinished look to them - again, something that should
have been better.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I used infinite lives and energy cheats.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
At the end of the final level there's a huge alien to
beat. Once he's blown to bits the game is over. A short
message appears that tells you that victory is yours and
that Starcom salutes you. Your final score is also shown
and you are told to look out for the forthcoming game 'Cybermech'.
