So I am sure you all know
that Who Dares Wins was deemed to be too much of a
Commando rip-off and so it was denied an actual release.
Thankfully, Steve Evans just redesigned the levels and
was able to release the game as
Who Dare
Wins 2 (ending also available on this site). So is
the ending any different to the Mark 2 version...

Your man has completed
the final mission...

...The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I just used a cracked/trainer version of the game and
did a level skip until I get to the final one and just
played through with infinite everything.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
You just kill the final lot of baddies and
then the final "CONGRATULATIONS" screen appears with
flashing text (see above).
COMMENTS:
- Vinny:
The ending engine to this game is obviously identical to
Who Dares Wins 2 - which is forgivable. The only real
difference is the ending text. It's still a bloody good
game to play though :-)
- Stefan:
At least they give an explanation why you have to start
over. Can't these lousy soldiers secure an area
properly?!? 2/10 from me...and that's already including
a bonus point for the good explanation why the game
starts over.
- Gaz Spence:
Interesting that Alligata got it out before the official
Commando release - and far from appearing like a rush
job, it actually plays very well. The ending is simple,
shall we say.
- Brendan Phoenix:
Flashing writing makes my brain and eyes hurt!
- Andrew Fisher:
Great game, in some ways I prefer it to the "proper"
Commando conversion (although that does have Rob
Hubbard's excellent music...)
A simple ending from much simpler times, when you could
(almost) get away with cloning an arcade game.
- Andy Vaisey:
Dodgy graphics but a pleasantly enjoyable game. Cop-out
ending though...
FINAL SAY:
Very basic :(
