> WHEELIN' WALLIE by Interceptor Software

• Completed & Reviewed by Neil Collins

Wheelin' Wallie is another game in the Wallie series by Interceptor Software, which is basically a poor Snapjack clone, which is a game I remember playing in the arcades as a kid.

The aim of this game is simple: guide Wallie and his wheel through the levels and avoid colliding with almost everything in the game - which instantly results with a loss of life. It's insanely hard - possibly the hardest game I've played in a long time and took a lot of effort to crawl through the levels with my emulator speed slowed down to around fifty percent.

It's not a game I'd ever play again and I can't imagine many gamers playing it much back in the day as it is way too difficult.

Wallie has reached the end!

Yes - well done Wallie!

WHAT?!

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: I just kept saving my game as I worked my way through it ("not forgetting the 'slowing down in an emulator' trick" - Vinny)

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once all levels have been navigated successfully a message appears at the top of the screen. It reads 'WELL DONE! YOU ARE TRULY THE WALLIE OF WALLIES. NOW TRY AGAIN ....'. The game then restarts at level one.

COMMENTS:

  • Neil: It's just a short text message. Don't bother with this one. 1/10.

  • Vinny: I do love the Wallie games. For me, they have a cute innocence to them that keeps me coming back for more!

As for the ending to this one... hmmmm... I can't think of much to say apart from 1/10.

FINAL SAY: Typical ending to a Wallie game. Very poor.

G.E. RATING: 1 / 10
