What an AMAZING game!! Turrican 2:
The Final Fight really does show
you that sequels CAN be as good as the original game.
Manfred Trenz has really done himself proud on this one
and it shows throughout the whole of the game right up
until the end sequence ...
HOLY SHEE-YIT! It's MASSIVE!!!
Time for a reward or two.
Our hero is seen flying from the tower ...
... leaving it to explode.
Time for some credits. The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Matthew: 'Probably one of the best games, technically
speaking, on the 64. Absolutely outstanding in every
single aspect. It's a shame I couldn't be bothered to
spend the 2 hours-odd completing it without cheating; I
was preparing myself to do so until I discovered the
crack I have allows you to skip through the levels.'
WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you have killed the final
MASSIVE boss (see 1st screen shot above) you are then
rewarded with final extra points.
next screen displays a superbly
drawn tower which has our hero flying out to the right side
of the screen (see 3rd screen shot above). The tower then starts to explode and then
the carnage subsides leaving only a carcass of a
building. Scrolling text then appears and completes the
story along with the credits and a few other comments
from the programming team.
I completely agree with Matthew. The ending is great
quality and completes the game in style. The only
downside to it is that Manfred obviously used the code
from the first game and just changed the graphics and
sound - it's far too similar.
Slightly disappointed (practically identical), but it's
SAY: It doesn't quite get the top mark.
