I stumbled on this game a few months before I
started to play with the code to see if there was an
ending. I liked the idea and execution of the game -
even if the controls are a little frustrating! All in
all a nice game worthy of a few goes... but be warned:
you're going to want to shoot that bloody monkey!
Hold on a sec...
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I checked the code for a game ending message, which I
found at $7B00. Then, I looked for the piece of code
that displays that ending message and hey-presto, the
game ending at $7A00/$7F66.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you complete the final level, you get a 'CONGRATULATIONS'
message, which then goes to tell you that you HAVEN'T
completed the game, and that in fact you still have more
to do! You then have a final, FINAL level where you have
to keep the animals in their cages. On completing this
level, you get a proper ending message, which reads: "MY
GOD YOU ARE STILL IN LIVE.. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT STUFF! OF
PERHAPS TO MUCH LUCK!! BUT ALL THE ANIMALS ARE LOST!!
YOU MUST BEGIN THE HUNT AGAIN! YOU WIN A LIVE."
- Andrew Fisher:
Looks interesting, will have to try it.
Fun to have an "epilogue" like that.
- Gaz Spence: game
that I've never seen or even heard of before. Was it a
commercial release? Nice touch with the false end.
Certainly on the good side of average.
FINAL SAY: You think you've completed it, and
then there's more!
