Completed by
Jon Wells
(the man himself!)
Upon contacting Jon Wells to congratulate him on his
fantastic achievement of creating a
sideways scrolling version of SEUCK, he was kind
enough to reply with the following game ending to
Treasure Isle (programmed by Jon himself). As I am sure
you all know, I am a massive fan of Jon's work and
always look forward to something new from the C64
Master, and so without further delay, here is the ending
...
JON: "Don't know
if you're aware, but I did sort of do a very simple mini
ending animation screen for Treasure Isle (the Adventure
game). I've just quickly ripped it out and you'll find
it attached."

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?
Hmmm ... taking into consideration that Jon
programmed this game, I presume that he cheated all the
way to the end (I know I would). Actually, Jon was kind
enough to rip the ending straight out of the game for
us, and so it appears that he did cheat after all ;-)
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
In the game, once you get the treasure, you make
your way back to the cabin where you started off. Once
you get there, a congratulations message is shown with
your score, then asking you to press a button to
continue. You are then greeted with the little animated
ending (see above screen shot and attached file).
The animation shows our
hero running back and forth whilst stars and spinning
coins fly all over the screen.
There is some great 'magic
roundabout' Feekzoid music to accompany this ending.
COMMENTS: I am sure
you all know, but Treasure Isle is a graphics adventure
game and so it is a little strange (in a good way) to
see that it has this type of game ending.
I must admit that I really
like this ending even though there isn't much to see or
do. It's just seriously cute, bouncy and fun. Jon did
make these comments about it: "Unfortunately I didn't
have any more memory left to squeeze in anything else as
I would've liked to have made it bigger," which you
can kind of see.
FINAL SAY: It's
cute and worth a look (",)
