## Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles... ## So why on earth did the censors
decide to change the word 'NINJA' to 'HERO'! Were they
REALLY afraid that kids all over the United
Kingdom were going to masquerade around their local
neighbourhoods terrorising the old folk and demanding
pizza along with Ninja freedom?! I really do wonder
Anyway - not one of my
favourite games, but one worth playing, knowing that
there actually is an ending worth seeing...
Technodrome is about
... EXPLODE! The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I - probably like Brendan - used a trainer version of
the game to jump straight to level 11, which is the
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once the final level has been completed - I'm guessing
there is some kind of boss to finish off - the screen
cuts to a cool image of... erm... a robot kind of thing.
Sorry - but I never read the storyline to any game. This
is accompanied by a nice ending tune and a scolling
epilogue, which reads: "EPILOGUE.... FREAKED THE
FOOTS, MANGLED THE MOUSERS, AND TOTALLED THE TECHNODROME.
THAT'S TURTLE POWER!! BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SHREDDER AND

honestly wasn't expecting this kind of ending; I was
expecting a static black screen with the words "WELL
DONE, YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME". So, to get an ending
tune, some animation, graphics AND an epilogue makes it
a cool ending for me. I'd give it 7/10.
This ending gives a Commodore 64-style "Cowabunga!"...
without the digitized vocals, though you do see the
- Andy Vaisey:
Decent ending, being suitably cartoon-esque. 6.5/10
sounds about right. Another piccie or two would have
propelled it into 7 or 8 out of 10.
- Andy Fisher:
All in all it was a decent conversion from a coin-op
that, looking back, was more about appealing to the
comic book fans than actually providing some decent
gameplay... I find it hard to play more than a couple of
levels these days without getting bored.
As for the ending, nice picture and explosion FX,
reasonable music and a scrolly message... 6/10.
- Brendan Phoenix:
Was an ok conversion to be honest - they squeezed an
awful lot in, including the pretty accurate ending. Fair
few more pictures and it would have been closer to a
