I used to love spending dark, winter nights as a young boy reading the exciting Tintin comic stories. I also used to enjoy the movie that would be shown each Easter on BBC1 - even if it was a French film dubbed into English. And now we have the AMAZING Spielberg adaptation of this great character, which totally blew me away when I first watched it. It truly is a remarkable movie and I certainly hope there's a sequel...

As for the Commodore 64 game, it's actually fun to play and has some good graphics and sound. I never played it back in the day because I never owned a copy, but when the new Spielberg movie came out I was curious as to what I may be missing on our beloved machine. I'm glad I did...

What on EARTH is the Professor doing on the floor?!

HUH?! Captain Haddock too!

At least Snowy is awake :)

Just one last item to collect...

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Brendan and I both used a trainer to take us to the final level, which we had to play through before we could get to see the ending - with cheats of course! ;)

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you have extinguished all the fires and collected the final object, you get a static picture of Tintin and Snowy on the Moon in their space suits with "WELL DONE" underneath. This is accompanied by a Jeroen Tel ending tune.

  • Brendan: Pretty good static picture of Tintin and Snowy on the Moon in their space suits. There is a pretty funky game end tune, which most definitely bumps this up a few marks to 5/10.
  • Vinny: It's good to hear that it has it's own ending tune along with a nice bitmap ending screen. 5/10 from me too.

FINAL SAY: I'm sad to see that not much effort was put into this :(

G.E. RATING: 5 / 10
