I remember when Computer & Video Games magazine game away a first level preview of this game on a FREE Covertape way back in 1987. I spent AGES trying to complete this one level but never seemed to get anywhere and so it seems that C&VG didn't do Elite any favours in releasing a preview of the game as it TOTALLY put me off and I never EVER purchased a copy.

I have since revisited the game and found it "OK". There a quite a few levels to play through and so you would expect some kind of semi-cool ending ...

WHAT?!?

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: NOTHING much happens apart from the above screen message, which reads: MUMM RA IS DEFEATED ... THE EYE OF THUNDER IS RETURNED.

COMMENTS: I am SERIOUSLY disappointed with this ending! It really kills the game and doesn't offer the player ANY kind of reward for completing such a HARD game! Even the construction of the end screen seems to be the standard end of level template! There was no effort whatsoever put into this end sequence.

FINAL SAY: It has a score of 0.5! Need I say more?!
