T-Bird is a strange 3D shoot-em-up. It's not very good. The graphics are shoddy, the 3D effect is unconvincing, the playing area is quite small and the game play is very dull. There are a couple of levels to blast through, with end of level spaceships to defeat. I found this game a complete bore. I can't see many people enjoying this one.

KA-...

...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Using an infinite lives cheat.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: At the end of the final level you get to blast the enemy city to pieces. Once you send it up in smoke, the game ends. You get to enter your name into the high-score table while the words 'Well done mate!' are displayed under the T-Bird logo.

COMMENTS:

  • Neil: Another shocker. Don't play this game. 1/10 for the ending.

  • Vinny: WTF! I've JUST played this game for the first time and I can't get my head around how bad it is! If I had to describe it, I'd say it was a poor-man's Space Harrier, but with better music. It really is a bad game that appeared promising from the title screen but then falls flat on its face when you press fire to start. Definitely one to check out and then lock it away in a deep, dark, secure vault forever!

As for the ending, yet another let down. There's really nothing to it apart from a 'WELL DONE MATE!' comment. I'm surprised this game was ever released. Saying that - I do like the tunes. 1/10 from me too.
  • Andrew Fisher: All I know about this one is that it was reviewed in an early issue of Commodore Format. With a bit more work it could have been average, just like the ending...
  • Gaz Spence: I was thinking what the T stands for in T-Bird and then it hit me - it's most definitely Turd Bird. The 'Well Done' ending just rubs your face in it should you have completed the game.
  • Andy Vaisey: Stupid name for a rubbish game with a rubbish ending.
  • Brendan Phoenix: That enemy city just looks like a cute snow globe to me!

FINAL SAY: Crap. Simple as that.

G.E. RATING: 1 / 10
