Here's a game I bet a lot of you have never
played... I stumbled across Sun Star on YouTube while
viewing Amiga games, although I saw the Atari ST
version. I was surprised to see it on the C64 and it's
not too bad. It reminded me of Ballblazer, but it's not
a sports game. It's played in a large grid where you
have to hunt down and shoot various enemies and collect
the crystals they drop. Enough crystals allow access to
the next grid of which there are sixteen to beat. I
found the main playing area quite confusing, so I played
using the aerial map in the bottom left corner of the
screen which shows a smaller icon version of the grid.
It's very hard to beat as there are a lot of levels to
beat and energy runs out quickly. Check this one out. It
somehow evaded my clutches back in the day.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I poked myself infinite energy and played through all
the levels. It took quite a while.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
On beating the last grid, the information panel at the
bottom of the screen clears in funky fashion before
displaying the end message. The message reads 'MISSION
COMPLETE... PRESS RUN TO WARP BACK TO GRID ONE'. (I
think they meant RUN-STOP).
