Storm Warrior is a strange one because it says it was produced by Elite, but it seems that it was never released as a fully priced game. It appears that is was only ever released on budget under the Encore label. So - for a budget release, it really is a good game. With cool graphics, great game play and cracking music (by Mark Cooksey), it really is a steal for £2.99...

"Come and get it you silly green dinosaur-cum-dragon thingy!"

"Take that!"

"Yeah, baby"

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: I used a cool trainer version that gave me infinite lives/health, and allowed me to skip screens, but I still played through (".) By the way - press the 'C=' (Commodore key) to defeat the final boss).

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you've killed the final dragon-cum-dinosaur thing, it convincingly changes into a bag of bones and then the final message appears, which reads: "CONGRATULATIONS. AFTER A LONG AND COURAGEOUS QUEST THE LAND IS FREE ONCE MORE FROM A DARK FORCE OF EVIL." This is accompanied by an ending ditty.

  • Vinny: Okay - so the game ending isn't brilliant, but for a budget release, it's passable. There's a nice little ending ditty by Mark Cooksey :)

  • Andrew Fisher: Nice ending for a budget game, including an extra tune.

  • Frank Gasking: I think I remember this when I completed the game back in the day (Via a type-in cheat). You're right that the game never got a full release, though I'm not sure why. It's not that bad, and I'm wondering if it was because it was similar to another game out at the time.

  • Andy Vaisey: Decent enough for a budget title. Anything with a Cooksey soundtrack gets my vote, in a big smile kind of way!

FINAL SAY: Have a quick look and then move on...
