Paul Kubiszyn is/was one of those gifted C64
programmers who became increasingly better with each
game that he released. If you look back at some of his
earlier efforts, you can see just how well he managed to
progress in the world of C64 games programming. I've
said it before and I will say it again: It's a shame
that he is no longer on the Commodore 64 scene :(
I remember playing this
game to death when it first appeared on a Commodore
Format covertape. The aim of the game was to guide your
square block to the exit in only a certain amount of
moves. The block only stops moving once it hits an
obstacle. It sounds like a pretty simple idea, and it
is; but it's also very challenging and fun to play. If
you haven't yet played it, then what are you waiting
for...

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Well... erm... I used a cracked version, but I also hacked the ending!
-
Load the game and freeze
it
using an Action Replay Cart
-
Press 'M' for
MONITOR
-
Type: G 6000 (this
uses the GO command and goes to mem
location: $6000, where the ending is
situated).
-
The ending will
start.
OR... just soft reset (ALT+R
in CCS64 emulator) your C64 and type
SYS 24576
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you complete the final level, the ending tune kicks
in and then with a slight visual pause, the ending
screen appears, which reads: "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU
HAVE COMPLETE SQUARE SCAPE 2." This is accompanied
by a scroller and some nice text effects.
