Thalamus always seemed to produce top-notch games
for the Commodore 64. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this
one lacked that certain Thalamus sparkle and really
didn't do it for me.
Saying that, does this
mean that I wont like the game ending? ...

What the hell is going
on here?!

Ah! The story is
starting to unfold ...

... and things are
becoming a little more clearer (",)

What now?

Cool; the graphics are
animating ...

... giving the illusion
that the room is spinning - nice.

We now have a view of
the ship's arse!

Here's the build-up to
a hilarious bit.

... wait for it ...

... not long now ...

NO WAY?! A Terry's
Chocolate Orange!!

Heh - heh - heh - heh
...

Back to the action.

The story is coming to
a close.

Go on my son, take the
prize.

WHAT THE F##K?!! It's a
JSE-esque death (",)

"oh dear" more like! -
The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Typical Vinny: skip level, skip level, skip level, skip
level ...
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Well, the whole ending is set up as a kind of game show
finale', with low lighting and spotlights (a little like
Who Wants to be a Millionaire?).
Our hero is taken through
a sequence where he is presented with a VERY STRANGE
prize (see for yourself).
Throughout this game
ending sequence, there is commentary in the form of an
up-scroller. The commentary works alongside the action
to tell the final story, whilst a Martin Walker tune
plays away.
There are some clever
angle changes that emulate the changing angles of a TV
camera and animate very well.
Unfortunately, our hero
becomes a little too greedy and goes for the prize,
which is actually a booby-trap! Our hero ends up
squashed by a VERY HEAVY weight and the words, "OH NO!"
appear, and complete the whole ending.
COMMENTS: This
really is a clever and funny game ending and is only
really let down by the typical Martin Walker wining tune
that doesn't seem to match the humorous ending :(
I do like this ending and
I was amazed how good it is compared to the actual game.
FINAL SAY:
You have GOT to see this ending (",)
