If there was ever a game that was trying to be a Bond Movie, then it's most definitely Sly Spy: Secret Agent... sky diving, fighting, deep-sea diving, speed boats, motorcycle chases... definitely a candidate for the next 007 James Bond. All we need now is a fitting loading screen with an image that looks like Timothy Dalton!

In this game you take on the role of Sly Spy: Secret Agent in an arcade extravaganza that has you dashing around in an attempt to complete your mission against The Council for World Domination, and stop the detonation of an atomic bomb.

Though the graphics appear to be pretty impressive, they are, in fact, very flat and doesn't add well to what could have been a good game. That, along with the poor multiload, makes the game a struggle to play through and stick with... which is why I've never seen the ending. Until now...

The final level is complete...

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Brendan cheated! Of course he did ;-)

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you've completed the final mission, the game ending loads, which shows an animated news reporter in front of a US flag who is reading out the following epilogue: "GOOD WORK SLY, YOU STOPPED CWD AND SAVED THE WORLD BUT YOU MISSED A FEW THINGS YOU'D BETTER GO BACK AND GET THEM. GOOD LUCK." This is accompanied by an ending tune.

  • Brendan: A pretty nifty conversion it has to be said, and ending is faithful to the arcade - not sure why it has the 'missed a few things' message, but the ending of the arcade says the same (checked the longplay on YouTube) little animation of the President and short message, no great shakes - 3/10.
  • Vinny: Though I'm not a fan of the game, I did enjoy the game ending - which I wasn't expecting! Nice animation with the news reporter, adequate epilogue, and a nice ending tune to boot. 5/10 from me.
  • Gaz Spence: What I remember most about this was that the multiload was a right pain in the ass. More time was spent loading than playing. The game is a rambling affair not carried off with any great conviction and it didn't come together as a coherent package. At least the ending isn't bad but that is scant reward in my view.
  • Andrew Fisher: I can look past the multiload and see a very good conversion - sure, there are one or two niggles (sprite flicker, dodgy controls) but it was filled with good graphics and an outstanding Follin brothers soundtrack that recreated the arcade game well.

A good ending, even for one that loops.

FINAL SAY: Ah Mish Money-Penny... it looksh like mishion accomplished!
