This type of arcade adventure never used to be my
cup of tea, and it wasn't until the noughties that I
started to enjoy solving all the puzzles and playing
through many of the old arcade adventures.
Slightly Magic by
Codemasters is a fun arcade adventure very similar to
the Dizzy adventures - with a touch of ZX Spectrum
porting to boot. It's a cute game that has many puzzles
and challenges to get through, all wrapped up in a nice
hi-res package - again, the ZX Spectrum influence.
Many thanks to
Stephen for playing through to the end...
Our little wizard gives
the suntan lotion to the dragon.
That sounds rude!
Whose that green blob
to the right of the screen?
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?
Stephen told me that he used a cheat and also the
assistance of C64endings team member, Brendan Phoenix. Good job guys.
I have since created a
crazy hack for this game that has 39
extra in-game features; one of them being the game
ending. You can download the crazy hack from the link
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you have given the suntan lotion to the dragon,
the actual ending starts with a conversation between our
hero and his damsel in distress (see above screen
There's not much to this ending apart from the final
dialog between our hero and his lady. It could have done
with an ending tune and some animation.
You can't win 'em all (".)
