Cinemaware is a C64 genre in its own right. If you mention Cinemaware to any Commodore 64 freak they would no doubt describe it as a collection of amazing games with: clean plots and story lines, superb graphics and animations, and atmospheric music to boot (Defender of the Crown and Rocket Ranger). That's exactly what Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon is, and compliments the Cinemaware collection that we are so fond of. But what of the ending to this fine game - is that carry through that same level of quality that we have become so accustomed to...

Sinbad is back!

WTF?!

Ah! It's Brian Blessed.

"Good on ya Sinbad :)"

The End... or is it?!

Cor!

Oh dear - I've bored her to sleep!!

Ah - now she's smiling :)

...nearly there!

Definitely THE END!

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Matt used a trained version of the game by N0STALGIA that took him straight to the ending. We have supplied the N0STALGIA version so that you can see the ending for yourself.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: The ending consist of a great epilogue with atmospheric music, graphics and animation. I'll leave you to view the screenshots or video ending to get the full story ;)

COMMENTS:

  • Vinny: Another cracking Cinemaware game ending that contains a superb epilogue, colourful graphics and suitable music. It definitely gives the player satisfaction and a feeling of completion. 9/10 from me :))
  • Brendan: Great choice for the 700th (wow!) ending.

Could always relay on Cinemaware for a classic ending with 'The End' appearing, like a great movie.
  • Andy Vaisey: A great ending for a game and a great 700th ending on a great website!
  • Andrew Fisher: Fantastic ending, it's a game I never got very far in but lived up to the graphical standards of Cinemaware.

And well done on 700 endings, Vinny.
  • Matt Rogers: 700...that is some number when you actually think about it. Good work, Vin!

Top ending - shame the game is not up there with DoTC and RR. Used to love playing the Amiga version of this...but the 64 version doesn't quite capture the same spirit, and is remarkably easy to complete in comparison!
  • Inge Pedersen: Yes, I've always wanted to see the ending of this fabulous game!

And it doesn't let me down! Another great ending from Cinemaware!

FINAL SAY: A very good ending and worth watching a few times...

G.E. RATING: 9 / 10
