To be TOTALLY honest, before I found this game on GAMEBASE 64, I had never played it before. In fact, I didn't know there was another Road Runner game apart from the one by US GOLD!

Anyway, I spent a few minutes playing this game and found that it bored me to death! (nice graphics and music though) I just couldn't get into it and instead of playing the game, I decided to cheat my way through by pressing the "ç" button to skip each level (I had a cracked version by Mr Fox).

So once I got to the end, what was there to see? ...

The Final Screen.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Unfortunately, the game ending consists of a "CONGRATULATIONS" screen and nothing else!! There is a picture of Road Runner (see above screen shot) but even that was taken from the title screen! To add insult to injury, there isn't even a piece of music!!! Julian Potts' in-game music is cool and so I don't see why a piece of his music wasn't added to the end ... <possibly ran out of memory?!>

COMMENTS: It really isn't a game ending to be proud of. I would have given the ending another 2 points if there was a piece of music to accompany the final screen.

FINAL SAY: I was expecting a cute animated ending sequence (".)

G.E. RATING: 2 / 10
