Rasputin is a 3D isometric puzzle game by Firebird.
What looks like a great adventure similar to the likes
of Knightlore / Head Over Heels, is actually a
frustrating platform game where you die every minute or
so. Even with cheats you will probably give up as death
comes all too often as your character touches something
deadly or falls off a platform to the depths below. The
isometric effect is also misleading and difficult to
gauge distances, so you can't tell what's in the
foreground or background.
The aim
of the game is to neutralise eight spells which will
allow you to destroy the jewel of the seven planets -
thus killing the spirit of Rasputin. In other words,
touch eight lettered blocks, return to the starting
screen and touch the jewel on the far left. Having now
completed the game I don't hate it so much. It's just a
shame it wasn't easier and less confusing because there
is a half decent game buried quite deep in there
somewhere. Only play this if you are a brilliant gamer
and you have a few screws loose...

Yawn ("o)

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I used infinite lives / energy cheats and played it
until I worked out what needed to be done. It took a
while.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you touch the jewel, the screen disappears block by
block. A message then appears in small grey writing
which reads 'TIME IS ENDLESS. NOT SO DEFEAT. SWEET
VICTORY. BATTLE AGAIN'. The game then restarts.
