The Quest for the Holy Grail is a ridiculous graphic
adventure by Mastertronic. It's based loosely on the
Monty Python film and lacks the humour and fun of this
classic comedy. The graphical locations are poorly drawn
and the puzzles are sometimes ridiculous.
Following a solution to the game I found that the
majority of the locations are bland and pointless. If
you want a better looking, funnier adventure from
Mastertronic try Quest for the Golden Eggcup; it is far
superior. This game is a complete waste of time...
The final task.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I followed a solution I found online. It had a mistake
or two in it, but I soon overcame them and beat the
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
At the end of the game you put the grail in the Throne
Room. A page of congratulation text appears on a yellow
screen. It says that they are sorry that they can't give
prizes to all the millions who solved the game (err,
millions? a bit optimistic I think...). It also tells
you there is a Spectrum version and that you can play
the game again when you press a key. No thanks.
