What on earth were ZZAP!64 magazine thinking when
they gave this game an overall score of 37%!!
Thirty-seven blooming percent! Were they on glue or
something?! I actually like the game: cool sprites, nice
music and easy game play, and so I rate is much, MUCH
higher. So now that I have hyped up the game a little,
is the ending any good...

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Brendan used a cracked version of the game that allowed
him to see the end sequence straight away!
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once the final level is complete, the game ending kicks
in with a colourful image of Puffy and his delightful
companion, what's her name (see image above). This is
accompanied by a cool Michael Hendricks ending tune and
the words: "CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL
THE LEVELS."
COMMENTS:
- Brendan: Static
screenshot, but nice piece of music - checked and is a
different piece to the title screen.
If they gave a bit more thought and put a decent ending
rather than a cop out static screen - this would have
scored much higher because of the nice piece of original
music
As it stands - average only - 5/10.
- Vinny: I know
it doesn't look much, but the ending picture along with
the great tune actually go together quite nicely. Saying
that, it's missing an epilogue, some animation and a few
more pictures :-/ I'm also going to give it 5/10.
- Frank Gasking:
I've never actually played the game before, but I might
go check it out. Always looked good in the magazines to
be fair, even though the game got pretty average scores.
Wasn't the game around on the Amiga back in 1988/89, and
not released on the C64 until 1990?
Not a bad ending compared to most I've seen. 5/10 is
probably about right with a simple picture and tune.
Better than "Game Over" anyway :D
- Andrew Fisher:
I've never liked it, substandard Gauntlet style with
some shoddy graphics... ending screen is OK but not
spectacular.
- Andy Vaisey:
Crude in-game graphics, copy-cat gameplay with nothing
new. Sorry Vinny, I agree with ZZAP! on this one! Same
goes for the ending screen. So what...
FINAL SAY: It's actually a cool, but quick,
ending.
