• Completed & Reviewed by Vinny Mainolfi

Potsworth is a TV cartoon character from the late eighties and early nineties. To be honest with you, I have never seen the cartoon myself and only really know of it because my cousins used to mention it to me. For those of you who haven't seen the cartoon, it features a dog called Potsworth (obviously!) who each night travels to the Dream Zone with his friends where they all develop special powers according to their characteristics.

Within the game, all the characters must help Potsworth in his quest to keep Dozer asleep, so to speed things up they split up and each take on one of the five levels. Each level is built up from many different elements and evil characters scattered all around. The main premise is to collect all the required items and then head for the exit - simple. Also within the levels are switches to open doors, lifts and conveyor belts, which is achieved by dropping large boxes onto them.

All in all Potsworth is a great platformer and worthy of a high rating - but 90%, which is what ZZAP!64 scored it, is probably too high. It's still a great game though...

Almost complete with level 5...

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: I used a trained version that allowed me to jump to the final level and then play it with inifinite lives, energy, flying etc.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you have collected all the items on level 5 and taken them back to 'Indian', you get a message that says "WELL DONE. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE ZONE." Once you've pressed the fire button, the screen changes to an animation of Grand Dozer snoozing away and the ending message reads: "WELL DONE! YOU HAVE PUT THE GRAND DOZER TO SLEEP." This is accompanied by the ending tune.

  • Vinny: A small amount of effort put into this one, but at least some effort was put in :) A cute little animation and an ending tune. 5/10 from me.
  • Andrew Fisher: I did watch the cartoon, which was fun. The game is a good adaptation, and playing as the different characters does give plenty of variety. Cute animation and tune to round it off.
  • Brendan Phoenix: Never heard of the cartoon or the game. Have to admit the game does not look half bad, I will defo be checking out this bad boy.

FINAL SAY: Cute but limited...

G.E. RATING: 5 / 10
