Postman Pat III by Alternative is the last of the
Pat Trilogy of games. This one is a Paperboy style game
where you drive your van up the screen delivering
directories to the townsfolk. This is because Pat's mate
Delivery Man Dan is too ill and is unable to complete
the game is quite simple but not very exciting. You will
need to avoid obstacles and other vehicles in order to
reach the end of each course each day. Completing the
week means beating the game.
Graphically the game is
very colourful with chunky Amstrad-esque graphics and
not a bad game but not one that I'll want to play again.
It's a huge rip off of an arcade game that we've all

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:

it until I reached the end. I had to save my position a

cheated too - but I started the game and froze it with
my Action Replay Cartridge, went to MONITOR, and changed
location $0063 to $04 and then typed
'G 10A8' - which is where the game ending sequence
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
The final screen shows the Postman Pat III logo and a
short message underneath it. The message reads 'WELL
DONE PAT... YOU'VE LASTED THE WEEK AND SAVED DAN'S JOB
FOR WHEN HE GETS BACK'.

I didn't even know that so many Pat games where
released! At least it didn't get to 'Pat X - Postman
Gets an Upgrade' or some other nonsense.
What's going on in the status panel? Has Pat dislocated
his shoulder or something?
Sadly, this game and ending is just as bad as the others
in the series, with an extra slap in the face of using
the standard ROM font in the well done message at the
