Postman Pat by Alternative is the first of three
games starring the famous kids TV character. #
Everybody knows his bright red van #...
In this game I hate his
bright red van. It handles like a shopping trolley and
skids around on contact with cyclists or puddles. The
control method is really horrible and no matter how much
you think you have the hang of it, you'll soon end up
smashed into a wall if you lose a moments concentration.
I found driving backwards everywhere made the game much
of the game is to guide Pat around the village,
delivering parcels and letters to the villagers. You
need to return to the post office between deliveries to
get the next item and have a cup of tea. You also get
other special tasks from friends when you deliver to
them, which include rounding up lost sheep and
collection of a friend's prescription.
graphics are average and game play is very tricky, so I
can't see youngsters getting very far in this one. I
also don't recommend playing this one with your kids as
you will be swearing at the screen quite a bit...
Looks like Pat's
going to get a cuppa...
...good ol' Pat.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I played it, swore a lot and resisted the urge to hit
the screen many times.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
After Pat has had his final cup of tea, the words
'FINISHED DELIVERIES' scrolls across the top of the
screen. Unfortunately, the deliveries then restart and
Pat has to go out and do it all again.
