You may have already read elsewhere on this site
that I am a big fan of Chris Harvey and Neil A. Bate games and so it is
obvious that I am going to enjoy Paperboy.
On the whole, it is very
well executed game and is easy to play. The only problem
I have with the game is the NASTY colours that Chris
either chose to use or had no option but to use - your
choice. Cacky colours aside, the game is quite easy to
complete but unfortunately I had no time to play through
the whole game and so I used a level-skip cheat! Just as
well I did!! ...
The week's papers have finally been delivered!
WHAT?!? IS THAT IT?! The End.
WAS IT COMPLETED?: I completed this game using a
level-skip option on a cracked version of the game. To
speed up the processes of passing through the levels, I
turned up the speed on my C64 Emulator to 400%, which
enable me to complete the game in about 15 seconds!!
WHAT HAPPENS?: Nothing much happens apart from the
above screen appearing!!!
I would like to think that Chris and Neil kept this game
ending true to the arcade and DIDN'T take the easy
option of displaying a simple one-screen-ending because
he could be bothered!! It truly is a pile of shite.
SAY: We didn't even bother including a download of
the ending as it is SO crap!
to view more endings.
