Odysseus - Trojan Warrior by Silverbird is a side
scrolling shoot-em-up that has you controlling Odysseus
(also know as Ulysses in Greek mythology - I never knew
that), who rides a Pegasus though the skies. The game
play is fairly straightforward - you have to blast your
way through the levels, destroying the hordes of bad
guys. At the end of each level is a teleport that sends
you to a tunnel section. You then have to navigate the
tunnels without touching the walls, which is quite
tricky.
The
graphics and animation are quite good with nice detail
on the land that scrolls below you.
It's
very difficult game as the enemies come at you quite
quickly in difficult attack patterns. It's a bit
different from your standard spaceship based shooter, so
it may appeal to those looking for something that looks
and plays a bit differently.

His princess
awaits...

...and then hops
onboard.

Pegasus pulls a
wheelie...

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I used an infinite lives cheat.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
I have no idea what the point of this game is, but I
will give you my account of what happens. The point of
the game appears to be to rescue someone, and this
person can be seen standing on the ground at the end of
the game once you have beaten a group of wizard-like
characters. You can then swoop down and collect this
person who leaps onto the back of Pegasus. The pair then
fly off the side of the screen and the game restarts.
