Completed by Matthew Rogers, Reviewed by Vinny Mainolfi
I've always held judgement on this game as I found the music and graphics to be AMAZING, but for some reason the game play just didn't grab me. I have played all of the way through (well nearly!), but it just didn't seem to capture my imagination.

Fortunately, Matthew Rogers has played this game to the ending and found the following for us all to devour ...

JESUS! What an ugly mug!

And now it's BALD!!!

Ahhhh ... that's better :-) The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Tut-tut, Matthew. We can't believe you cheated! ;)

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: After defeating the UGLY Deveron (see about first two screen shots) the game loads the final sequence, which is a superbly drawn picture of a princess accompanied by a final message that reads, 'You have defeated Deveron and his evil legions. Well done hero. Your final score. I bid thee farewell. Till next we meet.'

COMMENTS FROM MATHEW: 'This game is legendary - pure class from beginning to end; it's a shame no effort was spent on the end. I'm ashamed to say I cheated this time in order to get you the ending quickly, but I can say I've done it many times without cheating and it's a joy - but it takes a while.'

COMMENTS FROM VINNY: I am actually pretty impressed with this ending, which did appear on our original game ending web site (previously called 'END OF THE LINE') a few years back. I do remember giving it a good review then and nothing has changed since - it still looks cool. There isn't much to it, but it certainly gives you the feeling of satisfaction and a good job done - not to mention some cool music and graphics.

FINAL SAY FROM MATTHEW: 'Very disappointing for a game whose attention to detail throughout is exceptional.'

FINAL SAY FROM VINNY: I like it; I like it a lot :-)

MATTHEW'S RATING: 5 / 10
G.E. RATING:
7 / 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM CHRIS ADDERLEY: "The issue with the well-drawn princess is that she also appeared right at the beginning of the game, before the first level, accompanied by a voice sample "Welcome to Myth". Her being re-used at the end is understandable, but detracts from the ending in a "seen it before" way, I suppose."

WEBMASTER'S RESPONSE: AH! Right, now I didn't know that. I will leave the G.E. Rating as it is so that it justifies your comments, but now that I know this information I would agree with Matthew's rating. Thanks Chris.
