Mr. Wino by Hewson is a peculiar little platform
game. I can't think of another game where you play a
bulbous nosed alcoholic...
Your
mission is to collect as much booze as possible and make
it to the exit. This involves avoiding most things that
move, jumping across platforms, and climbing ladders.
It's a simple game which is easy to control and fun to
play. The graphics are bright, chunky and very colourful
- very much like an Amstrad CPC464 game. It's not going
to hurt your head to play this one (unless you drink as
much as Mr. Wino as you play), so it's worth playing if
you like simple platform games.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I guided Mr. Wino around all the levels and grabbed as
much grog as I could.
SO
WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you take the final exit, a short ending scene kicks
in. The word 'CONGRATULATIONS' is shown in
various colours on the screen while a line of Mr. Winos
bounce up and down below it on a steel girder. Bottles
of booze flash all around the edge of the screen while a
tune plays.
