Completed & Reviewed by Neil Collins

Mr. Heli is a cracking multi-directional shoot-em-up by Firebird. It's one I used to play a lot on the Amiga. The C64 version is just as good in my opinion. The sprites and backgrounds are very well drawn and the game plays quite smoothly. There are lots of weapon power-ups to collect for your helicopter, and there are three levels to complete - each with end of level guardians to beat. To access each level you need a password that you get at the end of the previous one.

The final boss has been defeated :)

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Using an infinite lives, money and weapons cheat.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: On blasting the final alien to pieces at the end of level three, you get a screen of text telling you that you have done a great job and that you will be remembered forever. The game then resets back to the start of level three.

COMMENTS: The intro to this game was pretty good - so I really expected a decent ending.

FINAL SAY: This game deserved a better ending. I'm shocked that there wasn't one.

G.E. RATING: 1 / 10
