> MOTOR MASSACRE by Gremlin Graphics

• Completed & Reviewed by Neil Collins

Motor Massacre by Gremlin is an action / role playing game. The aim of the game is to beat Dr. A. Noid in a car-based battle after working your way through tournaments in various cities. You can wander cities to battle mutants and find arena passes, food and other goodies. Graphically it's ok and it plays fairly well, but it seems a little over ambitious to me and lacks depth and atmosphere. There's a lot to do and explore which will keep you interested long enough if you can persevere, but I found it all quite dull. There are better titles than this out there to play i.e. Autoduel.

Erm... very nice!

The End!

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: I worked my way to the final area (using cheats), and battered the enemy until his vehicle was destroyed.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: The ending is a full screen picture of our hero posing with his foot on his car while holding the battered body of Dr. A. Noid. The background shows the carnage of the arena where the final battle took place. This is followed by a text message which reads 'SIMPLY AMAZING!! YOU DEFEATED DR. A. NOID!!'

  • Neil: A very nice picture followed by a victory message. A fair enough end to an average game. 4/10.

  • Vinny: Another game I never played, but the ending it cool. I like the picture and also the ending tune. Very nice. 5/10 from me.

  • Andy Vaisey: Sorry, in my book this is a horrible game with a horrible ending.

  • Andrew Fisher: Never played this one, very simplistic ending but at least there's some nice music by Mr Daglish.

  • Brendan Phoenix: Looks like some sort of homo-erotic ending to me - that clenched fist...

    Or is it just me?

FINAL SAY: That's far better than expected.

G.E. RATING: 4.5 / 10
