We all know that whatever the Rowland
Brothers create for the Commodore 64, it's sure to be a
quality gaming experience. Mayhem in Monsterland is no
exception to that rule, and take the Commodore 64 on an
exciting journey of fantastic graphics and enjoyable
sonix. Commodore Format magazine were crazy enough to
give this game a perfect overall score of 100% (the
fools!).
We all know that Mayhem in
Monsterland ROCKS! But what of the game ending; is it in the
same league as the actual game? Lets find out ...

Ah! The "Game Complete" message. It doesn't end there
...

Here's your chance to view the whole of the games map.
Plus; you get to read the credits :-)

The Master Himself.

Good old Andy :-)

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I'm not too sure how Tobias completed it, but I know
that I used a trainer that housed all the cheats to get
me through the game :)
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you have completed the final level, you are taken
through a journey of game credits and miniature versions
of all the levels. This is accompanied by an ending tune
created by Steve Rowlands.
COMMENTS:
Vinny: It
pains me to say this, but it isn't a fantastic
ending - not like Creatures 1 & 2 - but it is
certainly worth a look. Saying that, I do like the
effect of being able to see the whole game's map,
which is scrolled at the top and bottom of the
screen. Nice graphics and great music go to make
this pleasing game ending from the Rowland Brothers (John & Steve).
Andrew Fisher:
I think it's worth a 9 - the little walking creature
animations match the intro, and the scrolling
landscapes are fantastic.
Brendan Phoenix:
'Congratulations - Game Complete' is a bit poor, but
nice pic of the big dinosaur at the end with ' The
End ' and the tune is pretty cool / nice scrolling
credits 8/10 for me.
Matt Rogers:
What always got me is
that they clearly spent a lot of time on that end,
but for what? It's nice to see the mini maps, but I
always felt they could have spent their time
creating something interesting. It's still a great
end - considering the effort - but it could have
been awesome.
Frank Gasking:
Shoot me, but I actually think this is worth a Gold
Medal :) You firstly get a new tune, a really neat
touch with the levels replicated in miniature form
and scrolling through. The final credits with
associated characters and then finally a change of
tone and the heart warming scene with Mayhem and
Theo.
FINAL SAY: It's a good'un and worth a few
looks and listens :)
