Now HERE'S what I call a game! Max Headroom is 100%
pure playability and awesome gameplay all rolled into
one - what more can you ask? How about a cool game
ending to finish it off?

You make one final dash for the lift ...

... but access is denied to any floors and the lift
hurtles towards the ground!

As soon as you hit the final floor, the above screen is
displayed.

After another minute of loading, the screen goes fuzzy
...
"OH NO! What's going on!?"

IT'S MAX! And he's talking!

Cool! The End
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
It's probably one of the few games that I can complete
without a cheat, and at every sitting (now that's a
miracle if ever there was one!)
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
The above screenshots kind of give it away, but I am
going to leave it to you to see the ending for yourself.
COMMENTS:
Web Master: Pure quality and entertainment. The
programming team certainly thought this one through
and came up with a polished piece of entertainment
that surpasses most of the game endings that were
around at that time (1986). The speech quality is
not perfect, but I can live with it.
Andrew Fisher:
Never got into the game, but it is a cool ending!
Brendan Phoenix:
It's a GM
without a doubt - the speccy ending has subtitles at
the bottom so it's a little easier to understand.
C64 version does not follow exactly and although the
speccy has a bigger max in a TV set ( looks quite
good to be honest ) the C64 actually sounds like Max
Headroom. A great great ending. Would love to find
an ending like this buried deep within the C64
vaults!
FINAL SAY: It oozes quality
