• Completed & Reviewed by Martin Brunner

Vinny:
I'm a big fan of the early Epyx titles such as Impossible Mission, Jumpman and Summer Games, but this really isn't my kind of game and it's just as well that Martin is a bit of an adventure guru. Over to you Martin...

The game has no big intro and so you probably wouldn't expected a big game ending; but since this game is really hard to solve it would have been nice to have some kind of reward...

There's your man...

Time to arrest him!

"GOTCHA!"

"YAAAAY" :-)

"Party time"

The End!

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Surely it can't be that hard to beat :-)

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Upon collecting all the evidence and selecting 'ARREST', your policeman turns Mr. Sims around and randomly says one of three sentences. If bad luck is on your side, then you will see: "YOU'RE UNDER ARREST." This is followed by a 'CONGRATULATIONS' message.

Some funny addition: Your character randomly enters rooms from either the left or right side of the screen. If your character entered the screen from the right side before arresting Mr. Sims it suddenly will jump to the left side as the 'arresting' sequence only seems to be programmed from one side only.

COMMENTS:

  • Martin: It was really hard to solve the game although I found some hints in the internet. But basically all you have to do is to search around at every time and every location. You can get some hints here and there but all in all it was difficult! Unfortunately, I have to say that this one is a 0.5/10 for me.

  • Vinny: Like Martin says, it really is a poor ending and doesn't offer the player any kind of satisfactory reward for completing such a hard game. I'm going to score it a little more as I think it deserves another 0.5 for a good epilogue and a small amount of 'arresting' animation :-)

  • Andrew Fisher: The ZZAP! review put me off playing this, and that is a really terrible ending.

  • Gaz Spence: Looks like Epyx stole some lines out of TJ Hooker (remember that?). Complete drivel!

  • Brendan Phoenix: Very disappointing - was sure this would have had the classic newspaper headline ending after reading the text! Not even a pic of the party! Gutted.

I am also worried that he is due for parole in just 4 years. Is there nothing we can do to stop this? Start a petition someone!

FINAL SAY: Yawn...

G.E. RATING: 1 / 10
