A few months back I spent some time going through
the Gamebase 64 database and looking at games I could
potentially crazy hack. I was focussed on platform games
and ones that needed something a little extra added to
them. That's when I stumbled on Jungle Drums by Eurogold...
A basic, sluggish platform
game that has you running around a sub-standard screen
collecting objects to progress to later levels. This
game is a bit out of time because even though it was
released in 1987, you'd really expect this kind of
'quality' to be from around 1983-84! It lacks speed and
quality... and it's very frustrating to play - hence me
looking for trainers!
The final level comes
to a close.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I ripped the code to pieces and jumped to the game
ending with the following:
- LDA #$13
- STA $10C0
- JMP $8200
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once the final level is complete, the game ending screen
appears, which is full of flashing text and reads: "CONGRATULATIONS...
YOU HAVE SURVIVED THE PERILS OF THE JUNGLE AND THE
TEMPLE. YOU BEAT THE WARRIOR SKELETON AND SO YOU CAN
KEEP THE GOLD YOU COLLECTED."
