Back in the late eighties, Inspector Gadget seemed to be THE cartoon of the time. All my mates used to watch it - even though they were in their late teens! Me - I hated it. I thought it was complete trash and hated that type of animation - which I think is French ;-) Anyway - Melbourne House decided to take on the license and produce an arcade adventure featuring the bumbling inspector. Needless to say that the game was a pile of poo too!

Gadget's final task, complete.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Brendan: "You can't complete it using the trainer mode - that I found out."

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once the final task is complete, the ending message appears, which reads: "INSPECTOR GADGET HAS COMPLETED HIS MISSION. GAME OVER."

• Vinny: You know a pile of poo? That's what this is :-/ Seriously - you rack your brains playing a game and then you get this kind of message to congratulate you?! Where's the humor? Where's the music? Where's the... anything?! 0.5/10.
   
• Andrew Fisher: Go go gadget disappointment!
  
  It's a real shame Melbourne House canned development of the original game (a side-scrolling Metrocross style game with huge sprites). What was finally released was terrible, and so is the ending. Very weak.
   
• Brendan Phoenix: Very similar with what happened to the Scooby Doo game - the preview shots looked amazing. Then we were given a different game which was really cack!
   
• Gaz Spence: Didn't the annoying girl and the equally irritating dog actually solve the cases? The ending is as inept as the Inspector himself.
   
• Andy Vaisey: Rubbish cartoon, rubbish game, rubbish ending. End of.

FINAL SAY: Absolute cack.
