I Alien is an action / platform game by CRL. You play the part of an alien that has been captured by some humans. To get free from your captor's spaceship, you must defuse bombs and escape via an escape pod. It's not a bad game, but it's quite difficult. The graphics are average and the game plays quite well, but it's very frustrating and confusing. You will need to put some serious practice in to beat this one and make a map of the corridors as it all looks very similar...

End of the game.

Something is coming into view...

Bless. The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: After playing for a while and getting lost in the corridors, I opted to jump to the end sequence via the trainer menu on the disk. Shame on me...

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: The end sequence shows the alien looking through the window of the escape pod while the landscape whizzes past. The word congratulations is displayed above.

  • Neil: A neat little ending. I would never have seen this without cheating though. 5/10.

  • Vinny: For some reason, ZZAP!64 magazine rated this game 62%, which I feel is a little mean. It's a nice little game, but admittedly it isn't perfect. As for the ending - it's pretty cool; it could have done with an epilogue and maybe a new tune that isn't from the title screen, but worthy of 6/10.

  • Andrew Fisher:  enjoyed it when it was on the Commodore Format covertape years later, some cute animation but a bit repetitive. Definitely one of the better efforts from CRL, and not a bad little ending. 4/10.

  • Brendan Phoenix: Never played this one. Ok little ending and probably better than I guessed it would be.

FINAL SAY: Not bad ! A little bit of animation for once...

G.E. RATING: 5.5 / 10
