Way back in 1983 I spent AGES trying to complete this game - there's no surprise. I always got VERY close to the end but never seemed to manage the last few level :( Now, 23 years on, I have managed to complete the game thanks to a very clever cracked version of this superb little game.

Let's see if the game ending was any good ...

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: I got hold of a SUPERB cracked version by REMEMBER, which offered me cheats that allowed me to walk over the hold, turn off any sprite collision, and have infinite lives - I'm in heaven (",)

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: On the final screen, you get to see Esmeralda who is trapped in a tower. When you do finally reach her, the screen switches to Hunchback surrounded by animated hearts that open and close. The words, "MY HERO!" appear above Hunchback's head.

COMMENTS: I was REALLY surprised to see that this game had a small ending sequence! I was expecting the game to go straight back to the beginning without any acknowledgement of saving Esmeralda.

There isn't any music or sound effects and so the game doesn't get a high scoring.
