Okay, this game has a terrible name. Humpty Dumpty meets the Fuzzy Wuzzies. I know it was 1984 when it was made but come on! All they had to do is change the main sprite and rename it something better. The weirdest thing that I find about this game is that you can drop Humpty from great heights without him breaking, so the name makes even less sense.

Anyway, this is a very simple puzzle game by Artic with the aim is to get Humpty to the exit. This is done by rotating the small playing area in ninety degree increments, while avoiding all sorts of traps and nasties. It looks simple, but it takes a while to get used to the unique control system. Be prepared to die many times before you start to get the hang of it. I can't really knock this game too much as it is quite original and easy to play. Shame about the graphics and of course the ridiculous name.

The final level...

...is complete!

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: I played through the levels and saved my progress as I edged my way to the end.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: The screen strobes a few colours before the words 'YOU WIN' appear in small white writing. The game then restarts

  • Neil: Oh dear. This is another shocker. I'm quite annoyed after the hard work I put in to beat it. 0.5/10.
  • Vinny: Okay - I admit it... I have a soft spot for the Humtpy games, with Engineer Humpty being my favourite of the three. Even though I was 13 at the time and the game premise was considered to be quite childish, I found the games very challenging and fun to play. Humpty Dumpty meets The Fuzzie Wuzzies was no exception and it really hit the spot for me. It's just a pity that it has a cack ending just like Engineer Humpty :-(
  • Brendan Phoenix: I wonder if they would get away with this title in today's PC times?

I too think Engineer Humpty is a classic little puzzle game.

The only thing that this has in common is the cack You Win message
  • Andrew Fisher: Intriguing, never played this - sounds fun!
  • Gaz Spence: A good concept and nicely implemented. You have to play your moves in advance to get Humpty Dumpty at the safe points in the map and good timing is required. A pity about the ending but the game itself is a blast.
  • Andy Vaisey: Not a bad sounding challenge. May have to try it - I'm always partial to the odd puzzler now and again.

    Urgh ending...

FINAL SAY: Abysmal ending. I now hate this game.
