I'm not really a lover of this game and so I'm going
to had straight over to John for an intro and
explanation...
"I saw your request for the ending of Hacker 2. This
game kept me busy for some weeks in the summer of
1987. Luckily I made a map for myself with a
description for myself on how to complete it. I've
been playing it recently and had to get back into
it, but was able to complete it again..."

Oh... something
coming through...

...oh - it's the
FBI!

Phew! I thought
they were after me for tax evasion!

"Why?"

Hmmmm...

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
John played the game on a real C64 and at the point
where the ending started he froze the game with the
Expert Cartridge and wrote a D64 with the 1541 ultimate.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
It's all a matter of timing. You have to know the route
the guard walks and make sure he doesn't see you. You
also have to know where all the surveillance cameras are
located and be sure to keep out of their sight.
You have to remove a document from the vault. The vault
has a combination that is divided over 4 cabinets. You
have to find these 4 cabinets also to switch off the 4
alarms of the vault. You have to do this in a particular
order. Of course the cabinets are in rooms with cameras.
You have to override the video signal of these cameras
with VTR playback so you can enter the rooms without
being noticed. Once done you head off to the vault.
Meanwhile the system is malfunctioning so you cannot see
what you are doing. So you have to know the route to the
vault (ie 7 x West, 1 x North etc.). 4 cameras are
located at the vault so you have to override all 4
signals with VTR. Get into the vault and take the right
document (there are 4 of them). Once done you head to
the buildings entrance (without seeing what you are
doing because of the systems malfunctioning). You can
use the live cam at some parts to see what you are
doing. At the entrance the FBI is waiting to
congratulate you.
