> GRAFFITI MAN by Rainbow Arts

• Completed & Reviewed by Neil Collins

Graffiti Man is an odd little game, which I had never heard of until now. You control an aerosol wielding vandal through a few short levels, avoiding contact with every person that appears on the screen. You have to make your way across the screen to reach the next very similar one to progress. After a few phases you get to vandalise a piece of graffiti with your spray can before the next level begins. It's all a bit messy and ugly, with poor sprite collision detection. I didn't like this one very much.

Hmmm... very nice.

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Using infinite lives cheat.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you make it through the final level and finish the final piece of graffiti, you are shown a picture of the graffiti man with a champagne bottle popping it's cork next to him. The word 'Congratulations' is displayed above. The game then ends. Thank God.

COMMENTS:

  • Neil: It's a terrible game, but the end is ok. At least they made an effort. 3/10.

  • Vinny: Yep - I totally agree with Neil. A bad games, but it appears that a bit of effort has gone into making a satisfactory ending. I didn't really expect much else. 3/10.

  • Andy Vaisey: Horrible mess of GFX but at least some effort has been made. Where the hell did this game come from??? Never heard of it...

  • Andrew Fisher: Distribution of Rainbow Arts' early titles in the UK was poor until they signed a deal with US Gold/GO!. That's why you've probably not heard or played it.

A static screen, fairly well drawn, but not really an exciting ending. 2/10.

  • Brendan Phoenix: It's a safe ending. Piccy with message. Better than we usually see. would rather see a little piccy than a plain backdrop, sp the effort is appreciated.

  • Gaz Spence: The end screen is pretty dire tbh - hardly a Banksy.

FINAL SAY: I expected nothing, and was pleasantly surprised.

G.E. RATING: 3 / 10
