Webmaster: I
remember playing this game as part of the Gremlin
Graphics multipack; I wasn't too impressed from my first
impression, but the game eventually grew on me. You may
notice that the game looking very similar to Jack the
Nipper 2 - another Gremlin Graphics title. Anyway, it's
over to Matt for the low-down ...
MATT:
You seem pretty keen on
Gremlin stuff, but I'm not sure what you make of this
one. Looks good with some nice backgrounds and the main
sprite - the other sprites look like they've been
dragged from Krakout. Sound's atmospheric, if a little
dull.
Point of the game is to rescue a princess whose
spaceship has crash-landed on a planet; she's been
kidnapped, too, as if that wasn't enough - poor cow.
Standard platform nonsense follows, at a pretty slow
pace, as you first
have to find an exit pass to escape the spaceship, and
then leap through the woods and castle for a showdown
with a big robot before getting your clammy fingers on
the princess.
I seem to remember
completing in days of old, but it didn't ring a bell
when I did again here ...

Now there's a strange
final boss if ever there was one!

Oops! Looks like he's
dead :-)

Kissy kissy time x x x
x. The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?
MATT:
Infinite energy, save
states and 200% speed-up made it all bearable for a
Kung-Fu Master-esque
ending.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?
Once you've shot the hell out of the strange skinny
fella, you go running over to your sweetheart and
administer the potion to free her. You then start to
snog her whilst a love heart flashes overhead. The final
message reads, "WELL DONE YOU HAVE RESCUED AMELIA".
COMMENTS: Pretty
poor ending considering how frustrating the game can
get. It's just as well that Matt used a load of cheats
as I am sure he would have been pretty pissed off to
have played it all the way through to this end

FINAL SAY:
Watch it very quickly and then go and have a lie down (".)
