> FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD by Ocean

• Completed by Matthew Rogers
Hands up who has spent almost an age trying to complete this game and failed at every attempt? I am one of those people and PROUD to have my hand up because this game was HARD ... but LOADS of fun.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood was Commodore Force's all time favourite Commodore 64 game and was going to appear on the "next" issue's cover tape. Only problem was, the magazine was cancelled before they could reveal their TOP C64 game!

So for me, Matthew Rogers has produced the Holy Grail and I can now pack up shop and end this web site because I have FINALLY seen the game ending I have always been after! ...

Ah-ha! The Final door! SUPERB!

And there you have it ...

A BIG "Welcome" ...

... and a small one. Game Over now NAFF OFF!

I have been waiting for TWENTY years to see this game ending!! Twenty bloody years! For what?!?! This game ending is SERIOUSLY disappointing and there is going to be a lot of people out there who agree with me.

Fred Gray's ending tune is pretty cool - all be it very repetitive - but it doesn't make up for the lack of a decent game ending :-(

Take a final look, pack your bags and go home :-(

UPDATE 23/07/07: We received the following email from Kamran Afzal, which may explain the strange ending to this game:

"I recently completed the game a few days ago. Like thousands of others I have been very close in past (98%.) I ran across your website today.
Like you I was at first disappointed at the ending BUT I quickly realised it's actually the best ending of all!

Explanation: What I think they're trying to say is that although you've completed the game the real reward is to forget about the game and enjoy life! The fantasy they talk about is your own life and what you make of it :-)

Perfect end for such a psychedelic game."

G.E. RATING: 2 / 10
