Exolon from Hewson. This was a popular game back in
the days of the C64. I remember playing it quite a lot -
but I soon grew tired and never returned to it as I
found it very frustrating. You control some spaceman
type bloke, armed with a gun and some rockets. You have
to make your way to the right, through 124 screens,
blasting everything that attacks and destroying all the
instalments that block your progress.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Using an infinite lives cheat. (Vinny: I have created a
crazy trainer hack for this
game so that you can easily view the ending as well as
skipping levels, infinite lives, infinite grenades and
infinite ammo. Download it from

SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you reach the 124th screen, you have to make your
way to the final teleporter - which causes the game to
end. Your bonus is totalled up before a congratulations
message appears. It says that you have proven your
combat abilities to the full, before returning to the
main menu once you press the fire button.
