Election by Virgin is a title that I avoided as it
looked like a modified version on Shogun. I used to play
Shogun a lot, but could never quite finish it, so I had
little hope of success with Election! The aim seems to
be to become Prime Minister. You have to choose which
party leader you wish to take control of and try to
influence voters whilst keeping up your credibility as a
party leader. You can wander around numerous screens and
interact with other computer controlled characters. Like
Shogun, the computer AI and political mechanics within
the game seem to be quite advanced for such an old
title. The graphics are quite basic, with each character
shown as a head. If you like games with a mix of
strategy and arcade action then this may be the game for
you. Give it a shot...

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
As I was hopeless at Shogun, I decided to poke about in
the memory to try and 'influence' the voters. In other
words I used underhand tactics - just like most good
politicians.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you get enough voters on your side, the game is
beaten. A victory tune starts to play while balloons
float up the screen. A message appears which reads 'WELL
DONE PRIME MINISTER'. A smaller message is displayed
on the information panel below it confirming that you
have won the election. The game then restarts when you
press the fire button.
