Jason Kelk (TMR) is a Master when it comes to producing Shoot-em-ups. It appears that 90% of the games he produces are this particular genre (Co-Axis, , GR9 Strike-Force, Millennium Assault, Warflame), and so I suspect it's his favourite type of game. Plus - we all know that his all time favourite games is I.O. on the Commodore 64 - which proves my theory :-)

Anyway - here's another cool Shoot-em-up from Jason that looks great, plays great, and with some cracking speech, sounds great!...

The End!

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Well... erm... I was a naughty boy and hacked the ending. Here's how:

  • Load the game and freeze it using an Action Replay Cart

  • Press 'M' for MONITOR

  • Type: G 2000 (this uses the GO command and goes to mem location: $2000, where the ending is situated).

  • The ending will start.

OR... just soft reset (ALT+R in CCS64 emulator) your C64 and type SYS 8192

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once the final level is completed, the ending screen appears with an epilogue, a flying 'WELL DONE' effect, and also some ending music - which in fact is the standard in-game tune. Upon pressing the fire button, you hear some speech saying "DIONYSUS MISSION FINISHED".

  • Vinny: Even though is game is only a preview, it's still great to play and very polished. The speech along with the 'Sometimes' Erasure tune are added bonuses. I think this game would have been spectacular if Jason had completed programming it.

Anyway, again - considering it's only a preview, Jason has done a good job in keeping the player happy and content. I love the added "DIONYSUS MISSION FINISHED" speech right at the very end :) I'm sure the ending would have been longer if the game had been completed.

  • Brendan Phoenix: If most ending were like this I would have no complaints, nice tune, some scrolling effects and something that resembles more than 'Well done'.

It's ok in my books - defo above average 5.5/10.

  • Andrew Fisher: Can't say I've played this one, but quite a nice ending there.

FINAL SAY: It's good enough for a preview...

G.E. RATING: 5.5 / 10
