I always used to rush out and buy the latest
Firebird Software release - even if it had a bad review
in ZZAP64 magazine. Denarius happened to be one of those
poorly scored games and was destined for the 50p bargain
bucket. The thing was, I actually liked playing the
game! Okay, so it wasn't going to win any gold medals,
but I seemed to have a soft spot for it. The shoot-em up
really isn't one of my favourite gaming genres, but this
cheap and cheerful effort seemed to keep me happy for a
while.

A strange chequered
effect to signify the end of the game.

Spinning sprites!

What?! "WELL ENOD"?
WTF!

More sprites!

"Bouncy bouncy"

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I used a cracked version of this game, which offered my
infinite lives, shields and toilet paper.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you have completed the final stage, the screen
generates a very short chequered effect and then
switches to a load of spinning letters, that spell out "WELL
DONE". This is then followed by a load of bouncy
letters spelling out "GAME OVER", which leads us
into the highscore entry screen.
