Stephen Renehan (AKA Retrovertigo)
Thanks to Stephen for sending this game ending and
also drawing my attention to the actual game. For some
reason I'd never seen his game - or ever heard of it for
that matter. It really is a nice looking arcade beat-up-em that
plays well too. And to think, it was only £2.99 when it
was first released back in 1989, which is amazing
quality! Shame the game ending doesn't live up to
the rest of the game...
Look at her wavy hair
go! The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?
Looks like Stephen had the cheat active - good man
(",). ("I ripped this one to pieces and produced one of my
Hackersoft crazy hacks, which included a feature to skip
straight to the ending. You can download the crazy hack
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you exit the castle, you end up on the final screen
(see above animation). There you find a lady who is
shackled up. The room description reads, "HERE SHE IS",
whilst the lady's hair waves in the wind.
Not a very well known game this. Used to play it a lot
as a kid and I'm nearly certain this version is
different to the one I had.
The ending is pretty poor for
such an excellent game and it really is a shame. It
actually left me confused as to why I couldn't move
until I read the room description. 2/10.
As much as I love this game, unfortunately the game
ending is a little sudden and lacklustre. Not much seems
to happen when you find the game, which is a let down.
So much more could have been done as there is a lot more
space in the code to play with. Hmmm... I wonder if it's
worth coding a crazy hack for this :-) 2/10 from me too.
