I really couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I
first played this game! It TOTALLY blew me away and
ensured that most of my mid to late teens was spent in
front of this amazing shoot-em-up. At that time, Stavros
Fasoulas was Gaming King and really knew how to produce
top-notch C64 games for us hungry gaming freaks.
So with the knowledge of knowing that Stavros could
produce a quality product, did this quality also stretch
to his ability to produce a top-notch game ending? ...
HUH?!? Is THIS it?!
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I played all the way through the 32 levels, but with
500% speed and the "C=" key as a smart bomb :-) Took
about 5 mins.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Not much! "DELTA MISSION COMPLETE. WELCOME 10 YEARS
LATER. STAGE 01." The game starts again. This is
accompanied by a specific Rob Hubbard ending tune.
I am SERIOUSLY disappointed with this game ending and I
expected a whole lot more from Stavros. I enjoy playing
the game, so that's one thing, but playing to see the
game ending would be a total waste of ANYONE'S time.
I suppose the only saving grace is the fact that
there is a cool Rob Hubbard ending tune to listen to
- Andy Vaisey:
Boring ending to a boring game...
- Gaz Spence:
Not exactly inspired, is it? A typical duff
ending. The game itself is reasonable, although it
is more a memory test than an seu.
The ending is not good graphically, but thank
goodness the ending tune is unique!
You've seen it here, now more on.
