• Completed & Reviewed by Neil Collins

Days of Thunder is a game of the NASCAR racing movie starring scientology, short-guy Tom Cruise. I have to say the game is far worse than the film, and the film was pretty poor...

The aim of the game is to qualify and then win the Daytona race. The graphics are terrible and the game play is non-existent. I can't see anyone enjoying this game as it's quite awful.

The End.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: Using a cheat that allowed me to finish first no matter what happened.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: Once you cross the line after approximately twelve laps - if you are in first place (or cheated), you get to see a picture of our jubilant driver with a trophy against a chequered flag background. The words 'WELL DONE COLE... YOU WON' are displayed underneath. You then get to see the order in which the other drivers finished before the game restarts.

  • Neil: It should have been far better, but I'm happy enough as the game itself is complete and utter garbage. 3/10.
  • Vinny: I've honestly NEVER seen the movie. I got to the point where I was fed up of seeing Tom Cruise and so I couldn't be bothered to watch it. I doubt I'm missing much!

As for the ending... it looks cack to me! 2/10.
  • Andrew Fisher: Cole Trickle - what a terrible name for the character. I love Rich Hall's summary of Tom Cruise films. "He's a race car driver, in fact he's a very good driver, then he loses confidence for some reason. He meets a woman who helps regain confidence, and he's a very good driver again".

Anyway, all of that is just to avoid talking about the game (which is awful on all formats) and the ending (which is one tiny picture, presumably to keep the game from being a multi load).
  • Andy Vaisey: Wow! Crack open the magnifying glass! An awful ending to an awful game based on an awful film. In one word... terrible. Or perhaps awful.
  • Brendan Phoenix: Never seen the film (not Top Gun!) and never played the game - for that I am thankful for! Awful ending pic.

FINAL SAY: There's an ending, but it isn't that exciting.
